Abstract

Improving the reliability and efficiency of using components and assemblies in severe climatic conditions is a difficult task, the solution of which requires a special approach. The paper justifies the use of modern anti-friction materials, analyzes and discusses the possibility of using plain bearing assemblies of the truck walking beam suspension in their composition. Anti-friction properties of various types of coatings were analyzed. A theoretical calculation of the wear resistance in the plain bearings of a truck walking beam suspension made of BrOF 10-1 bronze was performed. The paper presents the experimental results of comparative measurements of the wear resistance in two types of anti-friction materials (BrOF 10-1 and a coating based on molybdenum disulfide). We also considered the nature and features of the wear of anti-friction coatings and give recommendations for their use.
