Abstract

In order to estimate the interaction between the divertor plasma flow and the pebble curtain, the incident particle flux on the pebble has been calculated by the one-dimensional model which applies for the connected presheath between the neighboring objects in magnetized plasma. The dependence of the incident flux and the temperature rise of the pebble on the distance between the adjacent pebbles in the strike zone have been obtained. As the calculation results, the distance between the adjacent pebbles has to be less than 2.2 cm in order to prevent the pebble sublimation in the strike zone.
