Abstract

The most important condition for the sustainable development of rural areas is the efficient and competitive production of food products, since the main representatives of the market here are agricultural and processing enterprises, farms, etc. Their successful functioning largely determines the state of infrastructure facilities in rural areas, the availability of high-paying jobs, the level of household income, etc. Therefore, a reasonable choice of the industry(s) with maximum multiplier efficiency allows simultaneously accelerating the pace of economic growth and social development of rural settlements. The illustration of the combined impact of dairy cattle breeding on ensuring food security and sustainable development of the village of the Kaluga region may be of scientific and practical interest to the readers of the journal.
