Abstract

Objective To investigate the image characteristics and the causes of misdiagnosis of small renal cell carcinoma with spiral CT. Methods The spiral CT image characteristics of 56 patients with small renal cell carcinoma confirmed by the clinical operation of pathological diagnosis was retrospectively analyzed, and the causes of misdiagnosis were summarized. Results 52 cases with small renal cell carcinoma were diagnosed correctly by spiral CT scanning images, all were proved by pathology after the operation, the correct diagnosis of spiral CT rate was 92.9%(52/56),2 cases were misdiagnosed as hamartoma,2 cases were misdiagnosed as complex renal cyst. Conclusion Spiral CT has important reference value in clinical diagnosis and differential diagnosis of spiral CT in qualitative and positioning of small renal cell carcinoma, can improve the detection rate of small renal cell carcinoma, which is an accurate and reliable method of diagnosis of small renal imaging.
