Abstract

Objective To observe the efficacy and safety of 308 nm high-energy excimer laser in the treatment of perianal eczema. Methods 84 patients with perianal eczema in our hospital from January 2015 to October 2017 were divided into two groups randomly. Forty-two patients in the control group were given ebastine tablets orally once a day, 10 mg each time, antipruritic capsules 2.0 g, 3 times a day, and Binghuangfule cream for external use, 3 times a day. Another forty-two patients in the treatment group were given 308 nm high-energy excimer laser irradiation based on the control group, 3 times per week. The course of treatment was 28 days. The curative effect and adverse reactions were observed then. Results Before treatment, there was no statistically significant difference in the score of symptoms and signs between the two groups (P>0.05); at 14 days and 28 days after treatment, the score of symptoms and signs in the treatment group were (3.34±1.21) and (1.92±0.72), lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P 0.05). Conclusion 308 nm high-energy excimer laser therapy is effective and safe in the treatment of perianal eczema. Key words: Perianal eczema; High-energy excimer laser; Ebastine; Binghuangfule cream
