Abstract

Cardiac activity has numerous effects on human emotional conditions, such as the happy or amusement condition. One of the widely known methods used to determine the amusement condition is the electrocardiogram. However, photoplethysmogram is easier to use than electrocardiogram, despite not being widely explored. Therefore, this study examines the possibility of using a photoplethysmogram to assess the amusement condition. Data were collected from 6 respondents using 12 parameters extracted by using time and frequency domain analysis. The result showed several signal parameters can be used to estimate the amusement condition.
