Abstract

The assessment system for the competencies of gas industry workers is considered, the state of the “competence management” process is analyzed, and the effectiveness of the application of this system in the organization is evaluated. Based on the available data, the main modern methods used in the organization are considered, their brief characteristics are given. In general, these tools and methods have proven to be the most effective and are actively used in the modern world. The range of application of the described techniques is as wide as possible, covering all categories of personnel. The results of the assessments are used in the following personnel management business processes: organization of personnel selection and recruitment; personnel reserve management; personnel certification management; organization of personnel training and development; cooperation with universities, colleges and young specialists. The main tasks of the competence management of personnel are to determine the basic requirements for employees who are on the staff of the organization, in accordance with their positions, as well as to increase the employee's responsibility for the quality of their work by ensuring his personal interest in the development of their competencies and professional development. Periodic assessment of competence development is one of the elements of assessing the effectiveness of measures for the development of competencies based on a comparison of the required and achieved levels of development of employee competencies. The frequency of evaluation is established in accordance with the provisions governing each business process.
