Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of SMPN 1 Anyar students to understand mathematical concepts in learning after the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method with students of IX-C SMPN 1 Anyar as the participants. The data were collected from a test form of 7 description questions with the focus of quadratic equation material and a semi-structured interview as a non-test instrument. The results of the student's mathematical concept understanding ability test are found to be two students with very good categories, three students with good categories, eight students with medium categories, there are nine students with low categories, and ten students with very low categories. Thus, it can be concluded that the students’ mathematical understanding ability of SMPN 1 Anyar in post-Covid-19 pandemic learning is still relatively low.
