Abstract

The structure-property relationships of alkoxyaniline light stabilizers were investigated by the partial least squares (PLS) method. The chemical structure was represented by multidimensional structure parameters which take account of hydrophobic, electronic and steric factors. A significant PLS model with three components was obtained. This PLS model equation shows that electronic and steric factors play an important role in determining light stability of alkoxyanilines.
