Abstract

Nonmetallic inclusions are studied on grain boundaries in steel 10G2FT by methods of scanning and transmission electron microscopy and microscopic x-ray spectral analysis. A special method is developed for evaluating the degree of contamination of the surface of intergrain fracture with segregations of specific morphology. The relation between the degree of the contamination and the properties of steel 10G2FT is determined.
