Abstract

Multiple lightning is a natural phenomenon, has much effect on the arrester, can cause lightning arrester overload and crack, in the past few studies of multiple lightning monitoring and analysis, through the power system, lightning overvoltage online monitoring devices installed, collected more than 700 of the scene to study the lightning overvoltage waveform analysis, an analysis induction lightning multipulse accounted for 41.16% of the induction lightning overvoltage waveform, lightning pulse 54.5% more. The time interval of multi-pulse lightning is 3.79ms, 74.07ms and 45.01ms on average. The definition of multi-pulse lightning response is proposed: in the discharge process of a thunderstorm cloud to the ground or the transmission line, there are often multiple charge density centers. Therefore, a discharge of a thunderstorm cloud will generate multiple discharge pulses in the transmission line, and the time interval is within 100ms, which is called multi-pulse lightning response.
