Abstract

Objective To study the curative effects of vaccae combined with chemotherapy in treatment of multi-drug resistant pulmonary tuberculosis. Methods 85 patients with multi-drug resistant pulmonary tuberculosis in our hospital from 2008 to 2011 were selected and randomly divided into experience group and control group. All patients adopt the same chemotherapy(6Mfx AmPaZE/ 18MfxPaZE),and the experience group also received vaccae for six months. The clinical manifestations, sputum negative conversion rate at different times, and image performance of two groups were compared. Results Compared with the control group, the clinical manifestations at early stage significantly improved in the experience group. In the experience group, the sputum negative conversion rate and the lesions absorption rate were increased significantly earlier than the control group. Conclusions Using vaccae earlier based on the core chemotherapy can increase the sputum negative conversion rate and raise the lesions absorption rate. Key words: Multi-drug resistant pulmonary tuberculosis; Immunoregulation; Vaccae
