Abstract

The article analyzes one of the most important problems of the system of higher professional education: the relevance of patriotic education in modern society. The main normative points and ideas of patriotic education are considered, and the priority of this direction in the university education system is substantiated. Organizational and pedagogical conditions are formulated as a factor in the effective management of the activities of an educational organization for patriotic education and the development of a culture of patriotism among students: development of the main trends in the formation and development of the educational potential of a university from an information and analytical standpoint, enrichment of the emotional and value sphere of the individual, ensuring the systematic accumulation and enrichment of experience patriotic education, development of research and diagnostic competencies of students. An analysis of the experience of a number of state universities made it possible to determine both the requirements of universities for the choice of forms, methods and means of patriotic education, and the requests of students focused on the formation of patriotic consciousness, personal qualities and value orientations.
