Abstract

We have analyzed minor hysteresis loops of tensile-deformed Fe single crystals to investigate the influence of dislocations on magnetic structure under low applied fields. Simple relations between minor-loop parameters, which are independent both of field amplitude H a and lattice defects, are found in the limited range of H a . The magnetic properties deduced from the relations are more sensitive to dislocations than those of major hysteresis loops and can be explained in relation to the dislocation density.
