Abstract
With the development of TV technology, ultra high definition (UHD) industry is booming. UHD programme has gained great popularity. Compared with high definition television (HDTV) system, UHDTV system gets a boost in dynamic range and color gamut. However, improvements in brightness and color are mostly assessed subjectively. In view of above situation, this paper proposes UHD video dynamic range partition method and non-referenced assessment model of high dynamic range (HDR). Based on color gamut conversion algorithm, this paper also proposes wide color gamut (WCG) index and non-referenced assessment model of WCG. These models can give objective and precise evaluation of dynamic range and color gamut when analyzing PQ BT.2100 signal and SDR BT.2020 signal.
