Abstract
High di/dt will be generated during open operation of high-voltage hybrid DC breaker under the fault short-circuit current. Differential mode interference (DMI) in auxiliary energy supply circuit due to electromagnetic coupling may invade into the semiconductor control device. In order to avoid the false action of DC Breaker, research and evaluation of DMI should be paid more attention during design stage. This paper presented the analysis of coupling mechanism between multi-valves and energy supply circuit, and the calculation and comparison of coupling DMI strength under different cable layout. Further, a recommended energy supply circuit configuration is descripted. Response simulations of different circuit configurations under the DMI excitation are performed. Applying the configuration in 500kV High Voltage DC Breaker, the test results shows that the impact of DMI could be reduced by Inductive impedance of circuit configuration very well.
