Abstract

As a treasure of the Chinese nation, traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) culture is an important embodiment of China’s cultural soft power, and also it has become a link between the communication of Chinese culture and other cultures in the Age of Big Data. And international communication activities of TCM culture involve its communicators, contents, channels, audiences and effects, which conform to the five links of the communication process proposed by Lasswell. So, with the help of Harold Lasswell’s “5W” model, this paper collects some information about international communication of TCM culture in Portugal assisted by computer technique and analyses „communicator, content, channel, audience and effect’ of it, which aims at opening up new research ideas for the international communication of TCM culture, promoting the international development of TCM culture, so as to boost the international discourse power of China’s traditional culture and improve China’s cultural confidence in the Internet Age.
