Abstract

Crosstalk between two nonparallel transmission lines of finite length is studied. Nonhomogeneous differential equations for transmission lines excited by external fields are used in this analysis. The electromagnetic fields around the finite-length transmission lines are generated by currents in a transmission line section and terminal transitions, which are expressed using vector potentials. By manipulating a solution of the differential equations, a four-port network expression in terms of terminal voltages and currents is obtained. Experimental results for some models show the validity of the theory. © 1997 Scripta Technica, Inc. Electron Comm Jpn Pt 1, 80(11): 45–53, 1997
