Abstract

Objective To analyze the treatment and efficacy of humeral fracture complicated with radial nerve injury. Methods Seventy-two patients with humeral fracture complicated with radial nerve injury were selected as the research objects, they were divided into the observation group and the control group by random number table(each group with 36 cases), the control group received conservative treatment, the observation group underwent radial nerve exploration in early stage, then received corresponding treatment according to intraoperative radial nerve exploration results. The excellent rate of radial nerve functional recovery 6 months after the operation between the two groups were compared. The operation time, intraoperative blood loss, start recovery time of nerve function, complete recovery time of nerve function were recorded to estimate prognosis, and the complications were observed. Results The excellent rate of radial nerve functional recovery of the observation group (80.56%) was significantly higher than that of the control group(58.33%, P 0.05). Conclusions Radial nerve exploration at early stage, open reduction and internal fixation in early stage in humeral fracture complicated with radial nerve injury is better than conservative treatment, with less complications, is worth for application in clinical experience. Key words: Humeral fracture; Radial nerve injury; Treatment; Efficacy
