Abstract

The coconut palm Cocos nucifera L, is a cultivar that arrived in Brazil around 1553 by the Portuguese and expanded along the entire coast of the country, with commercial production in four regions: North, Northeast, Midwest and Southeast. The cultivar has great relevance in the agroindustry. However, coconut cultivation has been affected by diseases, among them, coconut sandpaper, which causes losses of up to 50% in production, if there is no control. The objective of this research was to analyze the studies already carried out on biological control in combating coconut sandpaper. The hypothesis that motivated the research considers that the biological control carried out has left gaps that need to be studied, explored and presented in future research.
