Abstract
Objective To explore the bacterial spectra and the antimicrobial susceptibility of purulent secretion in patients of chronic sinusitis. Methods Seventy-five cases specimen of purulent secretion gotten from maxillary sinus and ethmoid sinuses in nasal functional endoscopic surgery, were cultivated for bacteria and experimented the antimicrobial susceptibility. Results Among the 75 cases of patients, The cultures grew bacteria was 96 strain which could be divided into 13 kinds(81.33%), The aerobic bacteria was 81 (84.37%), The anaerobic bacteria was 15 (15.63%). The results of antimicrobial susceptibility shown predominant bacteria were sensitive to cephalosporins, quinolones, arilin, ampiciUin sodium-sulbactam sodium and imipenem. Conclusion Bacterial infection is one of important causes, reasonable medical treatment according to the results of antimicrobial susceptibility can elevate the therapeutic effect and avoid drug fast.
