Abstract

Theoretical and experimental results of investigations on a pulse-modulated autodyne oscillator affected by its own reflected radiation are presented. The main relations for the analysis of autodyne response as a function of reflected radiation delay time are obtained. Characteristics of autodyne self-oscillations, which allow improving their performance and extend functional capabilities of autodyne systems for short-range radar applications, are discussed. Experimental results are obtained for a TIGEL-08 oscillator module manufactured on the basis of a mm-wave Gunn diode using a hybrid-integral technology.
