Abstract
Analysis of the resonant behaviour of an asymmetrically coupled microstrip ring resonator is presented. It is shown that a double-tuned narrowband microwave filter, with a very steep cut-off, could be realized by placing one of the feeder lines at an angle of a ≈ 45° from the symmetrical case.
