Abstract
This work explores the evolution of locally rotationally symmetric Bianchi type I universe model using Noether symmetry approach for both scalar and vector fields. We consider an action in which scalar field is minimally coupled with gravity and non-minimally coupled to vector field through a coupling function. In this context, we calculate explicit expressions of coupling function and potential for which such a symmetry exists. Exact solutions for scale factors, scalar and vector fields are obtained using the corresponding conservation as well as equation of motion. Finally, we discuss evolution of the resulting model through different cosmological parameters which turns out to be consistent with recent observations. It is concluded that coupling function of scalar and vector fields leads to late time accelerating expansion of the universe.
