In recent years, the number of ships has been increasing steadily, resulting in port congestion and frequent maritime accidents in coastal areas. Therefore, this study focused on the marine traffic considering the anchored ships in order to ensure safe and efficient evacuation of ships during disasters. This study analyzed the situation of the anchored ships using the historical ship navigation and presented the evacuation of ships anchor offshore in a stormy weather. Moreover, the risks based on the ships dragged their anchors during disasters were found out. The results of this study can be used to improve the safety of ship navigation during an emergency evacuation and to develop a safe and efficient ship evacuation system. It is a significant contribution to the prevention and reduction of damages due to disasters in the coastal zones.
