Abstract
Hospital accreditation has been sought by health organizations as it gives greater credibility to institutions, whether public or private. This study aimed to verify the actions and improvement strategies that are applied to the quality of service in an ONA 3 accredited public hospital in the State of Pará. Descriptive research was carried out with a qualitative approach, through a study based on data presented in Management Reports between 2018 and 2022 published on the Hospital’s institutional website. It was found that the ONA Management Excellence standards promote an organizational culture of continuous improvement, through partnerships with National and International institutions, investment in the improvement of employees through training, demonstrating institutional maturity. The reports showed that management tools such as PDCA, 5S, 5W2H and Balanced Scorecard were essential to achieving certification objectives.
