Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical characteristics of nodular goiter associated with other thyroid diseases.Methods 4 622 cases of nodular goiter confirmed by pathology were retrospectively analysed to see if other concomitant thyroid diseases existed from 1961 to 2000.Results In all the 4 622 cases of nodular goiter.there were 700 cases accompanied with other thyroid diseases,of the 4 622 cases nodular goiter,1 418cases was misdiagnosed.Conclusions Concomitant thyroid diseases need to be noticed when nodular goiter is diagnosed.
