Abstract
Aimed to perform an analysis of treatment outcome in services. It is a retrospective study based on cases handled by the same team in outpatient clinics of the Institute of Mastology Mama Uba and Federal University of Vicosa-based electronic medical record for the period March 2001 to June 2012 with data analysis programs for R and SPSS PC. There were 545 cases operated in the service, with a mean age of 56 years (range 24-92 years), with 43 new cases in 2011, coming from 33 different cities, predominantly Uba-Mg (37%). Family History negative in 85%. Ductal carcinoma was the histological type of the majority of cases (63%). The predominant staging were stage II (37%) and Stage I (31%) The surgical approach was conservative in most cases (42%), offering Sentinel lymph node in 113 cases and 65 surgeries oncoplastica. Following post-treatment, we have 15% of deaths and 5% of cases of metastatic disease. We concluded in our service there is a predominance of early stage and future prospects of reducing mortality from the disease.
