Abstract

The co-channel interference occurs due to the same frequency is used by the two different radio transmitters leads to a crosstalk. This crosstalk is nothing but the co-channel interference (CCI). The interference of strong dominant signal from the adjacent channels causes adjacent-channel interference called as ACI. The improper tuning of the filter leads to ACI. 8-PSK is a digital modulation technique. It is used in wireless LAN applications such as Bluetooth and RFID. This modulation technique increases the data rate and it is more robust to noise compared to other modulation techniques. In this paper, the two interference signals are introduced on AWGN channel. The effect of this interference on the signal is analyzed and represented in terms of BER. This interference effect is mitigated at the receiver by using proper compensation techniques. The work is simulated using MATLAB and Simulink.
