Abstract

The analytic hierarchy process (AHP) has been widely used as one of decision-making method in economic, social, political and technological area.We discuss and investigate the effect of laser welding parameters on welding defects in order to make high quality laser welding bead with relatively good tensile strength as well as a base material. And then, we apply AHP to analyse and digitalize expert’s thinking and knowledge.By adapting AHP method to a factory engineer, the result indicates that a factory engineer think “Laser Scanning Speed” as the primary adjusting parameter when the formation of welding defect is suppressed, reflecting expert’s experience and knowledge.The result obtained in this study reflects well expert’s job experience and environments.
