Abstract

This paper a state-space averaging model of a series hybrid active power filter (SHAPF) is constructed to analyze its system stability by traditional control strategy, taking into account the effect of the time delay. A phase-lead compensation control strategy is proposed to improve the stability and filter performance of the SHAPF. Simulation and experimental results from a 10-kW laboratory system verify its validity.
