Abstract

An H ∞ state feedback control problem for a delayed discrete-time singular system is considered in this paper. The time-varying delay appearing in states is within a known delay interval. Using a modified finite sum inequality approach, we derive a set of LMI-based sufficient conditions for the analysis and controller synthesis problems, respectively. It is expectable that the modified finite sum inequality and the corresponding lemmas will result in more reasonable resultant conditions, because no useful term related to the chosen Lyapunov candidate and the delay interval is ignored. A numerical example shows the efficiency of the proposed method.
