Abstract

This study examines the commonality and identity in a few chosen films in order to demonstrate the limitations of “Auteur Theory.” The research presents the director’s personality in a distinctive way. The “Auteur Theory” is a French film theory that examines the character, skill, and inner meaning in movies that deal with the concept of Auteur notes. The director should emphasise on their unique aesthetic, point of view, methods, creativity, personality, and originality when crafting a film because these elements add fascination. According to the “Auteur Theory,” a director and a writer are on an equal footing because they both have unique artistic styles. The study paper examines the personal style of filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon in Cop trilogy films.
