Abstract

This research concentrates on both analogue and digital reproduction of images, and their relations in space and time in our world, and it also focuses on the roles of fictionalisation and functionalisation in both systems.In this article, the question of auratic value within the analogue and digital artworks taken place in terms of their relations with (here and now), as a result the question of here and now in the work of art determines the contemporaneity of its era, therefore functionalising (here and now) considered as a main content of this inquiry. Regarding to the research methodology, the research requires analysing both (analogue and digital) reproduction of art, in order to provide clear positions of both in art world. Furthermore, the differences and similarities between both systems theoretically set in comparison.
 The research is concluded in a sense that functionalisation can activate the (here and now) of the artwork in analogue and digital world. It also indicates the fact that how functionalisation is able to participate in creating the concept of totality in curatorial project which puts the artworks into the state of irreproducibility.
