Abstract
Loss of vertical dimension of occlusion occurs when the patient loses height between the maxilla and mandible. The reproduction of the new prosthetic surface, the new vertical dimension, and automatically the horizontal di- mension due to rehabilitation is one of the most challeng- ing phases in rehabilitation. The importance of registra- tion, transfer to the articulator, and analysis is described in this review paper.
