Abstract

This research is an experiment to compare the frequency of sound waves generated from scales on wind instruments using the Phypox application on a smartphone. The data obtained from the research that has been done is the frequency of each scale on wind instruments like the flute and piano. The method used is descriptive-quantitative. Based on the data that has been obtained, it can be seen that of the five sets of frequency value data, four of them have relatively the same number of values, and the results of the data obtained in F1 have different values. It should be noted that the data were not collected at the same time and under the same conditions. This allows for differences in the results of the frequency values obtained. The difference in frequency values is caused by several factors, including the researchers' ability to produce sound vibrations, room temperature, and room silence.
