Abstract
The Covid-19 pandemic situation in 2021 resulted in various changes in various sectors, including education. Various methods were used to maintain learning activities by reducing physical contact to prevent the spread of the virus. The shift from face-to-face learning to online quickly led to new problems that reduced the effectiveness of student learning. These issues are caused by suboptimal internet network quality, difficulty in adapting to online learning methods, and differences in understanding material through video conferencing applications. This research aims to provide a comprehensive explanation of the effectiveness of online learning in the short and long term using non-parametric statistics and categorical data analysis through Chi-Square tests. The research sample consists of 150 students from universities in Jakarta and Bandung
