Abstract

State Civil Apparatus (ASN) is a profession for government employees with work agreements in government agencies. Government agencies have different organizational climates from one another. Thus, the performance of ASN has its own challenges in realizing the goals of the organization. Generally, employee performance analysis is only carried out in private organizations. This study aims to analyze the strengthening of ASN performance through transformational leadership and reward job satisfaction. The research method used is a quantitative approach. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to 202 respondents. The respondents in this study were ASN Directorate General of Islamic Education, Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. The results of the reliability test showed a coefficient of α > 0.60, namely transformational leadership (0.964), reward effectiveness (0.961), and job satisfaction (0.973). The results of this study show that there is a direct positive influence of transformational leadership on job satisfaction. In addition, there is a direct positive effect on the effectiveness of rewards on job satisfaction. Based on the results of the analysis of Scientific Identification Theory to Conduct Operation Research in Education Management (SITOREM), there are eight indicators that need to be improved. This research has implications for government institutions in formulating policies for developing civil servants as part of Human Resources.
