Abstract

ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan: (1) unsur instrinsik kumpulan dongeng karya Arleen Alexandra; (2) nilai pendidikan karakter kumpulan dongeng karya Arleen Alexandra; dan (3) relevansi kumpulan dongeng karya Arleen Alexandra sebagai buku penunjang pembelajaran untuk siswa sekolah dasar. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik pustaka, baca, dan catat. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah peneliti sebagai instrumen utama dibantu dengan kartu pencatat data dan alat tulisnya. Teknik analisis data penelitian ini adalah dengan content analysis (analisis isi). Hasil analisis data disajikan dengan teknik informal. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) unsur intrinsik kumpulan dongeng karya Arleen Alexandra terdiri atas: (a) tema, meliputi tema mayor dan minor, (b) tokoh dan penokohan, (c) alur (d) latar, meliputi latar tempat dan waktu, (e) sudut pandang, dan (f) amanat; (2) Nilai pendidikan karakter dalam kumpulan dongeng karya Arleen Alexandra yakni: Jujur, Toleransi, Disiplin, Kerja keras, Kreatif, Mandiri, Demokratis, Rasa ingin tahu, Menghargai prestasi, Bersahabat/komunikatif, Cinta damai, Peduli sosial, dan Tanggung jawab; (3) Buku kumpulan dongeng karya Arleen Alexandra ini telah memenuhi kriteria buku penunjang sehingga relevan dijadikan sebagai buku penunjang pembelajaran untuk siswa sekolah dasar. Kata kunci: pendidikan karakter, dongeng, buku penunjang. Abstract : The aims of this research are to describe; (1) the intrinsic elements in a collection of fairy tales by Arleen Alexandra; (2) the value of character education in a collection of fairy tales by Arleen Alexandra; and (3) the relevance of Arleen Alexandra's collection of fairy tales as a learning support book for elementary school students. Data was collected by using library, reading, and note-taking techniques. The research instrument is the researcher as the main instrument assisted by data recording cards and writing instruments. The data analysis technique of this research is content analysis (content analysis). The results of data analysis are presented with informal techniques. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that: (1) the intrinsic elements of Arleen Alexandra's collection of fairy tales consist of: (a) themes, covering major and minor themes, (b) the character and characterizations, (c) plot, (d) setting, covering place and time settings, (e) point of view, and (f) the message of this fairy tale; (2) The values of character education in the collection of fairy tales by Arleen Alexandra are: Honesty, Tolerance, Discipline, Hard work, Creative, Independent, Democratic, Curiosity, Appreciating achievement, Friendly/communicative, Peace-loving, Social care, and Responsibility; (3) This collection of fairy tales by Arleen Alexandra has met the criteria for supporting books so that it is relevant to be used as a learning support book for elementary school students.
