Abstract

This research aims to examine the leadership style of the principal's ideal and reality in a principal's leadership, as well as to determine the strategy for implementing the project to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students in the independent curriculum. YIMI Gresik Elementary School conducted the research using a qualitative descriptive methodology, which describes the principal's leadership style and the structure used in applying the profile of Pancasila students. The subject under study was the principal. The data collection techniques used are Observation, Interview, and Documentation. From the results of observations, the researcher found the ideal leadership style of the principal and their reality in applying the Pancasila student Profile, among others; Democratic leadership style, learning by project, and habituation. From the results of research conducted by principal researchers, they have carried out their leadership well. The data on students' activities evidence this. In the success of the principal's leadership when implementing the Pancasila student profile strengthening project, the principal must continue to lead and direct their subordinates actively.
