Abstract

Nowadays, women's studies and movements are increasingly being carried out to voice their siding with women. In line with the situation of women who still often experience gender injustice and there are still many problems that harm women. One of them is the problem of Domestic Violence (KDRT). In the case of domestic violence, women are often victims of this because of the patriarchal culture that considers women as inferior and subordinated. Research on survivors of domestic violence handled by the SPEK-HAM Surakarta Foundation aims to analyze the problem of domestic violence using a gender perspective. The method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Sampling using technique purposive sampling with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews involving five informants. Pierre Bourdieu's theory of masculine dominance was chosen as the analytical knife in dissecting domestic violence cases. The findings of this study stated that the main factors for domestic violence were infidelity, economy and the husband's personality. The forms of domestic violence found were physical, psychological, economic neglect and sexual violence. From these problems, victims of domestic violence experience a long process of trauma or psychological recovery and become survivors of domestic violence.
