Abstract

Learning to write review text is learning that is fairly difficult for students to do because of the difficulty of arranging words and understanding the overall work that will be reviewed with maximum writing results equipped with several complete review text structures and containing linguistic rules consisting in the review text. Review text is a text that discusses the assessment or review of book, films, dramas, and other works. In this research there is a problem formulation namely how the completeness of the language rules of the review text written by class VIII studensts. In addition to the formulation of the problem, there are also a objectives in this study namely to determine the completeness of the language rules of the review text written by class VIII Students. This research was conducted on the VIII grade students amounting to 25 students. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative by collecting data in the form of a review text writing skill test. Based on the research that has been done on the text of the review written by grade VIII students the language rules contained in the article can be said to be maximally because it consists of 4 linguistic rules that should be in it.
