Abstract
Berloque dermatitis is phototoxic dermatitis caused by bergamot. Despite its phototoxic effects, bergamot is commonly used in cosmetic products and aromatherapy oils. The present case was a 15-year-old female patient who presented with hyperpigmented patchy skin lesions on the face and neck areas. Based on the evaluation of clinical and histopathological data, we diagnosed the patient with Berloque dermatitis due to the use of perfume without her family's permission. The findings of this case study point to the need for dermatologists, pediatricians, and pathologists to consider Berloque dermatitis in cases of hyperpigmentation.
