Abstract
A simple, rapid and reproducible ultra-micro method for determination of serum amylase activity is described. The method requires only 0.01 ml of serum. Comparison of the method with the micro method of Street and Close shows close correlation in 47 cases. “Normal values” for 100 ‘normal’ healthy adult persons are presented. The “normal range” is the same for both methods viz. 6 to 33 Street-Close units per 100 ml of serum.
