An Overlooked Quotation from Phaedrus’ Appendix Perottina

Abstract

Abstract This paper analyses an overlooked quotation from Phaedrus’ Appendix Perottina in a grammatical miscellany by Godescalc of Orbais and makes a contribution to the textual history of Phaedrus’ fables; it also demonstrates once and for all, through irrefutable evidence, that the Appendix Perottina cannot be a humanistic forgery.
