Abstract

By making it difficult to obtain optimal design aberration and error function performance, the typical optical design approach isolates one phase of the system performance, optimization. This work provides an expert optimization model for enhancing optical design parameters to overcome this challenge. The tools in this model are both spherical and aspherical. The Spherical tool combines a spherical glass surface and optical design parameter limitations to lower the converging point size at the image sensor in both initial and automatic design procedures. The Aspherical tool, which consists of asphere expert as well as glass fitting and glass expert approaches, improves the system performance by using asphere glass surface and glass substitution method in the optical design parameters. The commercial optical design program utilized here is Code V analysis, which includes features such as MTF (Modulation Transfer Function) and Spot Diagram, which quantitatively and qualitatively evaluate the effectiveness of expert optimization models. As a result, we apply our proposed solution to achieve optimal performance and lower the optical lens system error function from 1492 to 51. In order to get the best design results, the Specification Builder (Spec builder) uses a procedure for evaluating specifications to figure out all the specifications and performance target values.
