Abstract

The design of a 32 bit high performance system based on Motorola's MC68030/ MC68EC030 microprocessors is described. It makes use of the fast synchronous interface to access RAM memory with a two clock cycle read and write bus cycle. The system is designed to operate at 20 MHz using available fast static RAM memories, with future upgrades to 25 MHz and 33 MHz using faster memory devices.
