Abstract
This paper deals with an isolated dual input converter for grid/PV hybrid power system. The proposed dual-input converter could be operated either in single power supply mode or hybrid power supply mode. When the obtained PV power is less than the load demand, the proposed dual-input converter can automatically obtain the complement power from the grid. Independent control is provided to both PV power and grid power. The power flows from both the sources are unidirectional and supply the load individually. Simulations are carried out using MATLAB/Simulink and the results are verified to evaluate the validity and performance of the converter.
