Abstract

Abstract Iridescent virus type 23 from the black beetle (Heteronychus arator) replicated in Spodoptera frugiperda cells, producing some cell vacuolation after 3 days and extensive vacuolation and detachment of cells 7 days after infection. The virus also replicated in Aedes albopictus cells, and in the larvae and pupae of Galleria mellonella.
