Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine whether teacher candidates’ values differ significantly with respect to gender, school type and branch type or not. The sample of this study consists of 286 teacher candidates, attending various departments in education faculty at Niğde University, Turkey. Relational Survey Method was administered in this study. Schwartz Value Survey (SVS) and Demographic Information Form were conducted to the participants. Results indicated that value preferences of teacher candidates differ significantly with respect to some independent variables.
